Do this work if you lose your ticket
If you lose your ticket, you can take a duplicate ticket for the same journey from the ticket window. But, you have to keep in mind that you can get duplicate ticket only on 2 conditions either the ticket is confirmed or RAC i.e. Reservation Against Cancellation.
Tickets will be available for Rs 50
In case of loss of ticket, for duplicate ticket, you will have to pay a charge of Rs 50 for the sleeper category and Rs 100 for the category above it. On the other hand, if the ticket is cut, then you may have to pay 25% of the ticket amount.
Can also get refund
If your lost ticket is found and you have made a duplicate ticket, then you can take refund on your duplicate ticket. After deducting Rs 20 or 5% of the amount, the rest of the money is refunded to you.
Refund is available even if you do not travel
If it took you time to duplicate and you could not travel due to any reason, then you can contact TTE and tell the whole matter to TTE. At the same time, refund can be taken by returning the ticket taken from the counter.
