Actually the central government transfer posting one about Ordinance Has brought, which has increased the political temperature in Delhi a lot. Kejriwal-led AAP is enraged by this move of the central government and is accusing it of dictatorship. However, this ordinance has not yet become a law. It will take the form of a law after it is passed in both the Houses of the Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court had given a decision in favor of AAP regarding transfer-posting.
The BJP-led NDA will easily pass it in the Lok Sabha. But the NDA does not have a majority in the Rajya Sabha. In such a situation, apart from NDA, other members will also be needed for BJP to pass this ordinance. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is trying his best that the central government could not pass this ordinance in the Rajya Sabha. For this, the opposition parties are uniting. In this episode, he is meeting the leaders of the opposition and talking about supporting his party against this ordinance.

Kejriwal hopes from Congress
Arvind Kejriwal is hopeful that even though the relations between his party and the Congress are strained. But on this issue he will get support from the Congress. There were indications of this after Nitish’s meeting with Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. But on Tuesday, the attitude of the Congress was seen to have changed. However, the Congress has termed the Central Government’s decision to bring the ordinance as wrong.
On Monday night, party general secretary KC Vegugopal tweeted that the Congress has not yet taken any decision regarding the ordinance issue. The party will hold talks with its state units and other like-minded parties on this issue. If Kejriwal has to stop it from passing in the Rajya Sabha, he will need the Congress. The Congress has 31 members in the Rajya Sabha, which is the second highest after the BJP. BJP has 93 Rajya Sabha members.

What is the mathematics of seats in Rajya Sabha?
At present, there are 238 members in the Rajya Sabha and the majority mark is 120. The NDA has 110 members in the House. On the other hand, if we talk about UPA, it has 64 members. Kejriwal will need parties other than UPA to stop this ordinance in Rajya Sabha. Talking about Mamta-led TMC, it has 12 Rajya Sabha members. You have 10 members. Whereas BJD has 9, YSR Congress has 9 and BRS has 7 members. Whereas Left has 7, SP has 3 members.
How will Kejriwal be successful?
Arvind Kejriwal will need BJD and YSR Congress to stop the passage of the ordinance in the Rajya Sabha. Without this his plan cannot be completed. Because if these two parties do not take part in the voting by finding a middle ground and walk out from the House, then the majority figure in the House will decrease. In such a situation, BJP will get it passed.
BJP can present this ordinance in the Parliament to make it a law in the monsoon session because if an ordinance is brought in case of non-functioning of the House, it has to be approved by the Parliament in 6 months so that it can become a law. The results of Kejriwal’s hard work will become clear in the coming times.
