US President Biden, Australian PM Anthony Albanese and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the agreement at the California Naval Base.
Anthony says that this is the largest investment in Australia’s history for the purchase of a nuclear submarine and the preparation of indigenous warships. Under this agreement, the reactor of Rolls-Royce of Britain will also be included. Under this agreement, the technology of all the three countries will be used in the submarine.
For the past several years, China is trying to increase occupation along with spying through the sea. China is also adopting the same policy for India. This agreement has been made to stop the move of China. US President Biden says, all three countries are ready to keep the Indo-Pacific region free and independent.
There is no threat of nuclear attack, then why is China scared?
On Tuesday, as soon as the OCUS agreement was announced, China objected. The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, America, Britain and Australia are expected to move forward on a dangerous path. However, US President Joe Biden says that the goal of this agreement is to promote peace. Biden claims that nuclear power will be used to run these submarines and they will not be equipped with nuclear weapons.
Presently only 6 countries of the world have nuclear submarines. This includes America, Russia, Britain, France, China and India. Now after the agreement, Australia will also join these countries. China is afraid of many things. For example, now Australia’s strength will also increase. Water can turn on the plans of capturing and spying in the maritime border.
All the three countries have good relations with India, in such a situation if China harms India and these countries can spoil the dragon’s plan. Biden has clearly said that through the agreement we are strengthening mutual cooperation. It is telling how democracy can be kept safe.
