At least five new Vande Bharat semi-high-speed trains are going to be launched by the end of June 2023 i.e. in 45 days. One of the five new Vande Bharat trains, the train on the Puri-Howrah route will be launched next week, possibly on May 15. New Jalpaiguri-Guwahati Vande Bharat train will be started after the start of Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat train. After the New Jalpaiguri-Guwahati train, another Vande Bharat train is expected to run on the Patna-Ranchi route. The Vande Bharat train in Guwahati will be the first in Northeast India. This will be the second Vande Bharat train to be received by West Bengal. Earlier, Vande Bharat train was started on Howrah-New Jalpaiguri route from December 30, 2022 to West Bengal.

Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will leave Howrah in West Bengal at 5:50 am and reach Puri, Odisha at 11:50 am. According to reports, Vande Bharat will leave from Puri at 2 pm and reach Howrah at 7:30 pm.
