Earlier, while dancing in a program, a young man fell unconscious in the same way and died on the spot. In the past, many big personalities have also died due to heart diseases. Heart disease was the cause of death of comedian Raju Srivastava, singer KK and actor Puneet Rajkumar.
Since the COVID epidemic, the number of such cases is increasing in which a healthy looking person suddenly gets an attack and dies immediately, but why is this happening. Is heart disease now becoming a silent killer, which is not giving the person a chance to recover? To know this, TV9 Bharatvarsh has talked to experts.
Cause of death Sudden cardiac arrest
Dr Chinmoy Gupta, director of Indo European Healthcare, says that since COVID, cardiovascular disease has increased significantly. Due to the corona virus, blood clots are happening in the arteries of the heart, which is affecting the function of the heart. In many cases people are getting Sudden Cardiac Arrest. This is a dangerous condition, in which the heart suddenly stops working and the person’s pulse starts falling, due to which he becomes unconscious. In this condition, if treatment is not received within five to ten minutes, then death occurs on the spot.
Dr. Gupta says that people do not know much about heart diseases. The cases we are seeing in which death is happening on the spot, most of these cases are of sudden cardiac arrest, but people call it heart attack in common language. There is a big difference between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest. Cardiac arrest occurs when the body’s electrical system malfunctions. In this, the heart suddenly stops beating. When the heart suddenly stops working, blood cannot reach the brain and lungs. Which leads to death. The risk of death due to cardiac arrest is much higher than that of a heart attack.
Cardiac arrest without symptoms
Dr Gupta explains that in most cases sudden cardiac arrest occurs without symptoms. This happens even to a healthy looking person. Since there has been a blood clot due to COVID. This has affected the function of the heart. In such a situation, even if someone has 20 to 30 percent block, then cardiac arrest is happening and death is happening. Dr. says that in case of 20 to 30 percent blockage in the heart, many times the symptoms are not even known. In this way people become careless.
Why is heart disease increasing?
Pediatrician Dr. Arun Shah told in a conversation with Tv9 Bharatvarsh that poor lifestyle has caused many health problems. Most of these heart disease cases are coming.
Dr Shah says that our diet has a direct effect on the heart. Cholesterol is increasing at an early age due to excess fat and junk food in the diet. People don’t pay attention to it. Gradually, cholesterol starts increasing in the body. This creates a blockage in the arteries of the heart and causes an attack. Many times we think that the attack has come suddenly, but this is a chronic problem, which gradually develops in the body and suddenly takes a fatal form.
