The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recently said that the capital’s Air Quality Index (AQI) in Anand Vihar is at 383, which falls in the severe category. Due to increasing pollution, many types of people respiratory diseases It is happening, in some hospitals of Delhi, patients of this problem have already started coming. Delhi’s air quality is expected to worsen in the coming days. In such a situation, the number of patients can increase even more.
Doctors told that people are having problems of asthma and bronchitis. Allergies and trouble in breathing while sleeping at night are also being faced. Doctors say that many types of viruses and bacteria become active in this season. Due to these, infection occurs in the upper respiratory tract, which leads to problems of allergies, asthma and brochitis.
Dr. Arun Shah told in the conversation that at this time some incidents of stubble burning have come to light in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, there is also a lot of vehicular pollution. Due to which the AQI is not correct. Due to this there is a risk of getting many types of dangerous diseases. Small particles present in the air go to the lungs through the breath. They can cause asthma, bronchitis and even cancer.
According to Dr Shah, people think that lung cancer occurs only in smokers, but it is not so. Cases of lung cancer are also seen in people who have never smoked. This happens because of pollution.
Increasing cases of bronchitis and asthma
Dr Amit Kumar of Delhi’s Rajiv Gandhi Hospital said that the cases of bronchitis and asthma are increasing significantly in this season. This happens due to infection in the respiratory tract, although this problem is seen more after Diwali, but due to increasing pollution, such cases are still being seen. Children also have problems like asthma. It also causes severe pneumonia in them. In such a situation, it is necessary that people who already have respiratory diseases should protect themselves. Other people also need to take care of their health.
