Mumbai: Amidst the rising COVID-19 cases in India, Mumbai Police said that in the last 48 hours, 114 policemen and 18 senior police officers of Mumbai have been found positive.
18 senior police officers from Mumbai tested COVID-19 positive, including 13 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), four Additional Commissioners of Police (CPs) and one Joint CP (Level Officer). Mumbai Police further informed that in the last 48 hours also two policemen have died due to COVID.
Giving information about the COVID-19 impact in the last 48 hours, Mumbai Police said, “114 policemen and 18 senior officers including 13 DCPs, 4 additional CPs and one Joint CP (Level Officer) have tested COVID-19 positive and Two policemen have died in the last 48 hours.”
Giving information about the death of two policemen of Mumbai due to the pandemic in the last 48 hours, Mumbai Police said that so far 125 policemen have succumbed to the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday informed that 19,474 new COVID-19 cases have been found in Mumbai, while seven people have died due to the pandemic in the last 24 hours. The BMC informed that 8,063 people have been discharged after complete recovery from the virus infection, taking the total number of recovered COVID-infected patients in Mumbai to 7,78,119 now.

The BMC further informed on Sunday that the recovery rate of corona virus-infected patients in Mumbai is 85 percent while the total active cases in Mumbai are 1,17,437.
