Delhi government minister Imran Hussain
Under the ambitious scheme launched by the Kejriwal government to honor the Corona warriors, Delhi’s Food and Supplies Minister Imran Hussain met the families of two deceased Corona warriors. He handed over a check of Rs 1 crore each to both the families. Food and Supplies Minister Imran Hussain handed over a check of Rs 1 crore to the family members of late Dr. Sheela in Paschim Vihar and late Dr. Harpal Singh in Rajouri Garden. During this, area SDM and senior officials of Revenue Department were also present.
During this, Minister Imran Hussain expressed his condolences to the family of the Corona warrior. He was assured of all possible help from the Kejriwal government. The minister also said that the Kejriwal government always stands with the families of those Corona warriors who sacrificed their lives to protect humanity and society without caring for their own lives.
Both Corona warriors died in the year 2021
The Food Supply Minister said that Corona warrior Dr. Sheela Chhokada was working as a medical officer in the Savada Ghera Dispensary (DHS) of the Delhi Government. Dr. Sheela Chhokada, as a skilled medical professional, while providing medical care and care to patients in a government dispensary, herself got infected with Corona during the second wave and due to this, she died on 04 May 2021.
Late Harpal Singh was working as an empaneled doctor of DGHS, Delhi Government in Mohalla Clinic of Shivram Park, Delhi. While providing dedicated medical care to the patients in the clinic, Dr. Harpal Singh unfortunately himself got infected with Corona virus and died due to Corona infection on 10 May 2021.
Family members will get courage to live with dignity – Minister
Minister Imran Hussain told the families of Covid warriors that the Delhi government salutes their passion to serve humanity. Although this honorarium cannot compensate for the loss of the families of the deceased Corona warriors, it will definitely help in improving their future and living a respectable life.
Delhi Food Supply Minister Imran Hussain further said that during the Covid-19 pandemic, doctors, nurses, teachers and government employees dedicated themselves to the service of humanity 24 hours a day by staying away from their homes. During the pandemic, many Corona warriors themselves got infected with Corona and sacrificed their lives.
Minister Imran Hussain said that we express our respect to all our Corona warriors, who have served the people without caring for their lives. As the Kejriwal government’s initiative to provide financial assistance to the families of Corona warriors who sacrificed their lives while serving humanity has been appreciated by many people.
