If you want to avoid dengue, keep these things in mind
Dengue cases in india : At present, dengue is increasing dangerously in many states of the country. More than 4 thousand cases have been reported in Delhi. There are more than 30 thousand cases in West Bengal and the number of patients in Bihar has also crossed 6 thousand. So far, about 100 patients have died due to dengue across the country. Many people in this were also below 50 years of age. Many types of symptoms are being seen in dengue patients. Due to dengue, there are problems like vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain and red rashes on the body. Due to this, patients also need to be admitted to the hospital. Many such cases are coming to the hospital in which the level of platelets in patients is falling rapidly. This time some changes are also visible in the symptoms of dengue.
Some dengue patients are also facing difficulty in breathing. Generally, such symptoms are rarely seen in dengue, but this time it is happening. Doctors say that if a person is having trouble breathing along with high fever, he should immediately go to the hospital. Being careless in this matter can prove dangerous.
Dengue is causing damage to the lungs.
Some dengue patients are also facing the problem of lung infection. Doctors say that dengue is causing problems like respiratory syndrome. Due to this, there is infection in the lungs and one is facing difficulty in breathing.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Suman at Safdarjung Hospital says that due to D-2 strain of dengue, many dangerous symptoms are being seen in the patients. There are also cases of difficulty in breathing due to dengue, although such cases are less, but still it is a dangerous symptom. Problems in breathing indicate that dengue is also affecting the lungs.
There may also be a connection with Covid
Dr. Deepak says that it may also be related to Covid. This is because the immunity of many people has weakened due to Corona. Covid has also damaged the lungs. Because dengue also has only one virus. In such a situation, it is possible that dengue is also affecting the weakened lungs. For this reason some patients are having trouble breathing.
Dr. Deepak says that this problem can occur at any age. In such a situation, people are advised to get timely treatment if they are having breathing problems along with fever.
Do not take medicine yourself
Dr. Neeraj Nischal, Additional Professor in the Department of Medicine at AIIMS Delhi, says that in some cases of dengue, patients delay treatment. The reason for this is that he does treatment at home only. Some people also get trapped in home remedies, but this should not be done. Avoid self-treatment of dengue fever. If the symptoms are becoming serious then go to the hospital immediately. With timely treatment, the situation can be saved from becoming serious.
Paracetamol beneficial in dengue
Dr. Deepak says that paracetamol medicine is beneficial in dengue fever. Apart from this, taking other medicines should be avoided. Do not take any kind of pain killer during dengue. This may cause risk of internal bleeding. Use paracetamol also as per doctor’s advice.
