New Delhi: There is a huge increase in the cases of corona in the country. Today, about 6.7 percent more cases have been reported compared to Thursday, due to which the number of new cases has crossed 2.50 lakh in a day. On Thursday, 2,47,417 new cases were seen in the country, while today this figure has reached 2,64,202.
315 people have died in the country due to this virus, out of which 117 people have lost their lives in Kerala alone. The death toll from this epidemic in the country has increased to 4,85,035.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 2,64,202 new cases of corona have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of cases of the highly transmissible corona virus variant Omicron in the country has reached 5,753.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 12,72,073 crossing the 12 lakh mark, while the daily positivity rate has risen to 14.78%.
With this, 1,55,39,81,819 crore vaccine doses have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. In the last 24 hours, 73,08,669 people have been vaccinated.

The recovery rate is currently 95.20%. With 1,09,345 being cured in the last 24 hours, the number of people recovering from this epidemic has increased to 34,824,706.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, a total of 698,948,772 samples were tested till January 10, out of which 17,87,457 samples were tested yesterday.
