Corona Update: 27,409 new corona cases arrived in the country, positivity rate was 2.23%

New Delhi: The third wave caused by the Omicron variant of Corona in the country is gradually decreasing. According to data shared by the Union Health Ministry, India on Tuesday reported 27,409 new COVID-19 infections, which is 10 percent less than yesterday.

In the last 24 hours, 347 people have died due to this virus, out of which 178 people have lost their lives in Kerala alone. The death toll from this epidemic in the country has increased to 5,09,358.

India’s active caseload has come down from less than five lakhs to 4,23,127 at present, with which the active rate of total cases has also seen a decrease and it has come down to 0.99% after a long time. . While the daily positivity rate has reached 2.23%.

Along with this, 1,73,42,62,440 crore vaccine doses have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. In the last 24 hours 44,68,365 people have been vaccinated.

The recovery rate in the country is currently 97.82%. With 82,817 being cured in the last 24 hours, the number of people recovering from this epidemic has increased to 4,17,60,458.

According to the data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 12,29,536 sample tests have been done for corona virus in India yesterday.
