New Delhi: The corona virus has once again wreaked havoc across the country, making the situation unbridled. There is a decline in new cases of corona virus infection in the country.
In the national capital Delhi, 11,684 new positive cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 38 people have lost their lives. The active cases in Delhi now stand at 78,112, while the positive rate has come down to 22.47 percent.
At the same time, 6,149 new positive cases have been reported in the country’s financial capital Mumbai in the last 24 hours, while 7 people have lost their lives. There are now 44,084 active cases of corona in Mumbai.
28,481 new cases of corona virus have been registered in Kerala. The positivity rate in the state has gone up to 35.27 percent. At the same time, 39 people have died in the state in the last 24 hours. The Union Health Ministry has written a letter directing all the states and union territories to increase testing in corona hotspots and densely populated areas.
With 2,093 new cases of COVID-19 being reported in Puducherry in the last 24 hours till 10 am on Tuesday, the number of corona virus infected in the union territory increased to 1,40,710. Director of Health and Family Welfare Services G Sriramulu said that out of the new 2,093 cases, the maximum 1,715 cases were reported in Puducherry, while 279 in Karaikal, 45 in Mahe and 54 in Yanam.
After the death of three more people due to infection, the death toll has increased to 1893. At present, 10,393 infected people are undergoing treatment in the state, out of which 163 patients are admitted in hospitals and the remaining 10,230 infected are in home isolation.
Dr NK Arora, chairman of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI), COVID-19 Working Group, said on Monday that India may start immunizing children in the age group of 12-14 years against COVID in March because by that time The population of 15-18 years is estimated to be fully vaccinated.
It is now being said that children between the ages of 12 and 14 can also get vaccine options. Experts say that the results of clinical trials of Kovovax and Corbevax vaccines can come to him by time. In August last year, Zydus Cadila’s vaccine was also approved for emergency use.
