In view of this, now big central universities like JNU, Jamia and DU have started taking extra precautions. While the rule of no vaccination no entry has been implemented in Jamia, intensive corona investigation is being done in Jawaharlal Nehru University.

JNU Registrar Professor Ravikesh told that a COVID-19 test camp has been organized in JNU. This is for all community members of the university. The camp is being organized by the District Magistrate. Apart from this, in order to avoid the crowd, it has been requested by the university administration that those who want to avail the benefits can come here and get their test done as per the prescribed norms. Any kind of gathering is strictly prohibited in this area. Along with this, JNU has also issued helpline numbers.

Significantly, after the new wave of Corona, all the central universities are bringing new restrictions and rules. Several universities are in talks with the education ministry. All national and international research conferences like DU, JNU, Jamia are going to be postponed. Universities will be run in a phased manner.

In view of this, Delhi University, one of the largest central universities of the country, has decided to keep all its examinations online for the time being. The option of online examinations will be provided to all the students. Along with this, classes will also continue to be conducted in online mode only.

In view of this, Jamia Millia Islamia has now issued a directive of ‘No Vaccine, No Campus Entry’. Not only this, the university administration has clarified that action will also be taken against the employees associated with Jamia who have not yet got their vaccination done.

The university administration said that Professor Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, has given this direction to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and Omicron cases in the campus. In Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, only those employees who have taken ‘at least one dose of any available COVID-19 vaccine’ should be allowed into their respective departments and offices. This decision has been taken as per the guidelines issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Government of NCT of Delhi.
