The Indian Medical Association has warned that the cases of A H3N2 virus are increasing. The IMA said that to avoid this, take precautions and keep hands clean, avoid touching eyes and nose and if there is complaint of body pain, take paracetamol immediately.

After December 15, the cases of A H3N2 virus have increased rapidly in India. Data shows that cases of seasonal fever, cold, cough are on the rise and the Indian Medical Association has asked doctors to refrain from prescribing antibiotics for this. IMA said on social media that according to NCDC i.e. National Center for Disease Control, most of such cases can be of A H3N2 virus.
It has been said in the notice of IMA that air pollution can be a major reason for these viruses. In such a situation, it is advised not to prescribe antibiotics in case of seasonal fever, cold or cough. It has been said by the IMA that the fever goes away in both but the cough persists for three weeks. This happens in people above 50 years and below 15 years.

92% fever, 86% cough… these complaints in patients
ISMR reported that 92% of AH3N2 patients admitted to the hospital complained of fever, 86% cough, 27 with shortness of breath, 16% with wheezing, and in addition, 16% had symptoms of pneumonia and 6% of cases There have been complaints of seizures in patients. ISMR said that 10% of the patients are in need of oxygen support and 7% of the patients had to be admitted to the ICU after serious complaints.
Take paracetamol in case of body ache
ICMR has also suggested people to wash their hands regularly and avoid shaking hands and spitting in public. ICMR said, “Avoid touching eyes and nose and take paracetamol for fever and body ache.” According to Dr. Arjun Dang, CEO of Dr. Dang Lab, more cases of H3N2 are coming out than H1N1. He said, “In the last few weeks, we have done some 100 plus tests, many of which are positive for H3N2, but it is interesting to see that we are getting fewer positive cases for H1N1.
