Story: Gadar 2, the sequel to director Anil Sharma’s film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ (2001), has hit the theaters today. After almost 22 years, Tara’s character was once again brought back among the audience for an important purpose. This time the story of the film moves forward and shows how Pakistan is bent on avenging its humiliation and takes Tara’s son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma) captive. This time for the sake of his son, Tara goes to Pakistan again and not only brings him back, but shows Pakistan his status and exposes him once again in front of everyone.
acting: The way Sunny Deol used to roar in the theaters in the 90s, his same style was seen once again. Even at this age, the way he played the character of his famous Tara Singh was highly commendable. Ameesha also appeared in the role of a mother in the film. On the other hand, if we talk about Utkarsh Sharma, he is an excellent artist who showed his lover boy image in the first part of the film, but after the interval, a true patriot was seen in him. Manish Wadhwa does wonders in the role of Army General of Pakistan. Malice and brutality are clearly visible in his character, which adds life to his role on the screen. On the other hand, Simrat Kaur has also done a commendable job in the role of Utkarsh’s character Charanjit Singh’s girlfriend.
Music: With this film, once again its iconic track ‘Tu Ghar Aaja Pardesi’ was recreated, which is undoubtedly very spectacular. In the voice of Udit Narayan, once again this song was presented with newness which pleases the mind. Other songs of the film are also fine but ‘Tu Ghar Aaja Pardesi’ has its identity even in its sequel.
Final Take: Gadar is a story of love, self-respect and respect and dedication towards the nation. Along with entertaining the decades, this film gives the message to the neighboring country to have a feeling of ‘Jazba-e-Hind’ and not ‘Gajwa-e-Hind’. The only novelty in the story of the film is that this time, instead of his wife and son, Tara goes to Pakistan to bring his son back safely to India, where once again he is seen fighting and action. The action scenes and dialogues of the film are its life. This film awakens the spirit of patriotism and at the same time, in some parts, it introduces us to the love of a father. Overall, if you like films related to patriotism and action, then you must watch this film.
