According to the information, Shyam Manav of Andha Shraddha Unmool Samiti has clearly alleged in a letter to Meerapur police station that Dhirendra Krishna Shastri actually practices witchcraft and claims to cure diseases by reciting mantras. All this in a way is promoting superstition. He has written in his letter that watching many videos of Dhirendra Shastri on YouTube also clearly confirms this fact.
On the basis of all these parameters, he has appealed to Meerapur police station to take action against Bageshwar Maharaj and stop his proposed programme. On the other hand, Shyam Manav has written in the complaint letter sent to Meerapur police station on the letter head of the committee that the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act 2013 law is applicable in Maharashtra. In such a situation, any person is completely prohibited from spreading any kind of superstition. In spite of this, if any person does such a programme, then he should not be given permission from the administration.
It is worth noting that on Friday itself, Maharashtra Congress State President Nana Patole wrote a letter to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asking them not to allow any program of Bageshwar Maharaj Dhirendra Shastri in Maharashtra.
