MUMBAI: Two days after Marathi actor Kiran Mane expressed disappointment over her abrupt removal from TV show “Mulgi Jhali Ho”, channel ‘Star Pravah’, which airs the show, on Sunday claimed that the co-actors and production unit on the sets He was evicted from the serial for misbehaving with other members of the show. The story of this Marathi language show revolves around a girl named Mau, who is born in a family that wants a boy instead of a girl. Mane was playing the role of Maui’s father in the show. Mane had earlier told PTI that he was informed by the channel on Thursday night that he would not come for the shoot of the programme. He alleged that he was removed from the program for expressing his political views on social media.
Star Pravah issued a statement terming the allegations leveled by Mane as “baseless and fictitious”. The channel claimed that Mane was fired after complaints from female actors for their misbehavior. She said, “The production house has confirmed that the decision to remove Mane was taken due to his misbehavior with several co-stars in the show, especially the lead heroine of the show.”
