Mumbai. Today the Bollywood industry has lost one of its precious gems. Bappi Lahiri, popularly known as the Disco King, has passed away today at the age of 69. Bappi da was a great singer as well as a great artist. To this day, everyone dances on all the tunes made by him. Let us tell you that a few years ago, Bappi Da had reached ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ as a guest, during which he narrated many unheard stories of his life. Along with this, many such things were also found which hardly anyone would know in today’s era. So let me tell you what those stories were.
Bappi Da had told that he started learning Tabla from the age of 3. He started composing songs at the age of 11 and moved to Mumbai from Kolkata at the age of 19 due to his interest in films. Here through the film Nanha Shikari, director Shomu Mukherjee gave him a chance to compose music. After which he made such an identity by the name of Bappi Da while composing many music which no one has been able to forget till date. He won so many hearts with his compositions that he continued to rule Bollywood till he completes 48 years in the music industry today.
Let us tell you that Bappi Da has composed more than 5000 songs. He also holds a world record in his name. Yes, in the year 1986, he recorded 180 songs from 33 films and for this reason his name is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. With this, another interesting thing about Bappi Da was revealed in this show that along with wearing gold, he also wears a kada brought from the Golden Temple of Amritsar. This kada was worn by his mother when the film Zakhmi became a hit. While narrating this anecdote, Bappi Da said that despite being a Bengali, he wears this kada because he considers it very lucky for himself.
