Mumbai : A few days after the famous Marathi actor Kiran Mane was removed from the popular television show, the Sarpanch of a village in Satara district wrote a letter to the production house. Is issued asking him to stop shooting. He was removed from the shooting for allegedly making political remarks on social media.
Marathi language TV drama ‘Mulgi Jali Ho’ was being telecasted on ‘Star Pravah’ channel and had Mane in the role of Vilas Patil. The shooting of the Marathi serial is taking place at Gulumb village in Y tehsil of Satara district of Maharashtra. The letter written to the production house of the show is signed by the lady sarpanch. The lady sarpanch could not be contacted. But, the coordinator of the production crew claimed on Sunday that the letter was released in a “random” manner and the shooting is still going on in the village without any problem. A letter signed by village sarpanch Swati Mane is going viral on social media. It slammed the Marathi film industry for “removing an actor who expressed political views”. (agency)
