Mumbai. Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer film 83 has done average business at the box office. In the fourth week of its release, there is a decline in the collection of the film. One major reason for which can be said to be the corona pandemic. This multi-starrer film was released on 24 December. If we talk about its Indian box office collection, then the film has earned around Rs 102.43 crores so far.
Reliance Entertainment, one of the production houses backing 83, shared the news that the film has collected Rs 102.43 crore at the Indian box office. According to the information, let us tell you that the box office collection of the film has slowed down a lot in the fourth week as compared to earlier.
Reliance Entertainment has also told about the overseas collection of this Kabir Khan-directed film on Twitter. According to Reliance Entertainment, the film has collected Rs 60.97 crore overseas. Let us tell you that the story of the film is based on the 1983 World Cup. In the film, Ranveer Singh is playing the role of former cricketer Kapil Dev while Deepika Padukone is playing his wife Romi. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Salim Saqib among others.
The director of the film Kabir Khan along with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone left no stone unturned to promote the film. Even the promotion of this film was done on Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Seeing which it seemed that ’83’ would do well at the box office after its release. But now looking at the collections, it looks like what the makers of this film had expected. The film has not lived up to that expectation. However, due to crossing the 100 crore mark, the makers must have got some relief.
