UGC UTSAH Portal: The University Grants Commission (UGC) will launch Utsah, the Professor of Practice portal, today, 16 May 2023. To make the website of UGC more informative and friendly, the University Grants Commission will launch a new portal. The website of UGC has been redesigned. There will be many tabs for different information on the new portal.
According to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, students, teachers and universities and colleges will be very comfortable in getting information from the new portal. The home page of the new website includes information on Students Corner, Faculty Corner and Dashboards of various Universities and e-Governance Portal of UGC initiatives and schemes. Getting information about any university from the new portal will be much easier than before. The portal will be launched by the UGC chairman.

What is the full form of UTSAH?
The full name of the UTSAH portal is Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Action in Higher Education. The main objective of this portal is to keep a close watch on the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and its strategic initiatives in higher education institutions.
UGC is launching Utsaha Portal after extensive consultations with stakeholders including Institutions, Universities, Colleges, IITs, NITs and INIs. The UTSAH portal will serve as a comprehensive platform providing detailed information about UGC’s initiatives for qualitative improvement in higher education.
Institutes can register on the portal
The UGC chairman said that the UTSAH portal will also have the capability to monitor outputs and outcomes in key areas including learner-centred education, digital education, industry-institute collaboration, academic research, internationalization and Indian knowledge systems.
Universities and institutes can register on this portal. Institute can see the details of registered experts on the portal. Apart from this, institutes can also contact domain experts.
Let us tell you that recently UGC had launched the selection portal for recruitment to faculty posts in all central universities. Now on this portal, universities will issue related notifications of recruitment and applications will also be taken through this website. Earlier, all the central universities used to do their separate recruitments. Now these recruitments have been centralized.
