DU will provide two seats each under additional quota to orphan students in all graduate and postgraduate programs from the next academic year. The officials informed about this. He told that the students of this category will not have to pay the fees. A resolution in this regard was passed during the meeting of the Executive Council of the University on Friday.
An official said, the executive council today passed a resolution regarding giving admission to orphans in every undergraduate and postgraduate program offered in the university from the next academic year.
Exemption from payment like hostel fees
The content of the agenda states, such students seeking admission will be exempted from payment of all types of fees, which will include exemption from payment of hostel fees, exam fees and other mandatory fees. The expenses of admission and studies of such students will be made available from University Welfare Fund or College Student Welfare Fund.
Meanwhile, the council members also raised the issue of adhoc teachers and demanded to stop the displacement of teachers. Council member Seema Das said, we raised the issue of displacement of teachers, which was discussed in detail. We demanded that the adhoc teachers be accommodated.
