An important notice has been issued by the Staff Selection Commission regarding the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. According to the released notification, this time SSC CGL 2022 The pattern and syllabus of the exam has changed. Let us tell you that recently the application process for CGL exam has started from SSC. This year more than 20,000 posts will be recruited through this exam. To apply in this, one has to go to the official website ssc.nic.in.
According to the notification released by SSC, the application process for CGL exam will run from September 17, 2022 to October 8, 2022. Candidates applying in this should know that this year the exam pattern, marking system, selection process have all changed this time.
SSC CGL exam will be in 2 tier
Staff Selection Commission has almost changed the entire process of CGL recruitment. Till now SSC CGL used to be in four tiers, but from now on it will be in two tiers only. SSC has decided not to conduct descriptive paper by making another change. Now SSC CGL recruitment process will be done in two tier only and the test of other tier has been included in tier-2 itself.

On the basis of Tier-2, now merit list will be prepared in this recruitment process. Earlier it used to prepare merit on the basis of marks of three out of four tiers. The complete pattern of SSC CGL Tier-2 exam has also been changed. Now General Knowledge, Reasoning, Computer and Maths have also been included in Tier-2 exam along with English.
SSC CGL New Exam Pattern
Paper 1 is going to be compulsory for all and will have questions from Mathematical Ability, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. There will also be a data entry speed test which everyone will have to try. Exam details can be seen in the official notification.
The questions of Maths and English have been reduced in the Tier-2 exam. Till now 100-100 questions were asked from Maths and English but from this time only 30 questions from Maths and 45 questions from English will be asked. From this year, SSC has also changed the marking system of CGL Tier-2. Now every question of Maths, Reasoning, English, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge coming in Tier-2 will be of 3 marks.
