The British Council has announced the third set of British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM. There are 26 scholarships and fellowships reserved for women scholars from India and other South Asian countries. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. In which universities can I study?
Scholarship will be given on the basis of merit. There is no limit on the number of scholarships a country can receive. This scholarship is being given for studies in six universities of Britain. These universities include Coventry University, University of Bath, University of Manchester, University of Southampton, Imperial College London and University of Edinburgh.
What is the purpose of the scholarship?
The purpose of this scholarship of the British Council is to improve the career of women scholars in STEM. Apart from this, they have to encourage research and innovation in their country. Making them expert in their field through this scholarship is also an objective.
