A circular has been issued regarding the special stray vacancy round for NEET UG. Now information regarding this notice has been given by the Medical Council of India (MCC).

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Fake notice is being circulated regarding extension of deadline for special stray vacancy round for the course. The Medical Council of India (MCC) has warned the students in this regard. It has been told in the fake notice that the last date of admission through NEET UG special stray vacancy round for All India MBBS and BDS has been extended till January 20. In such a situation, the candidates are told that they should take special care not to fall prey to any such notice.
It was said in the fake circular that the Medical Counseling Committee was receiving requests from several states regarding the extension of the last date. Because of this, now MCC has decided to extend the dates. This circular was rapidly circulating on social media. Keeping this in mind, an order has been issued by MCC.
What did the MCC say in its order?
MCC said in its order, ‘It has come to the notice of MCC and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that a fake notice dated 10.01.2023 allegedly issued by MCC is being circulated on social media. In this regard, it is said that no such notice has been issued by MCC or DGHS.
It has also warned the students not to take cognizance of such fake notices and to refrain from sharing fake information in other groups. The MCC also suggested that the candidates should file a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell or file an FIR on the matter. Students have been asked to visit the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) for any kind of information.
What is Special Stray Vacancy Round?
NEET UG Special Stray Vacancy Round is a special counseling round for those students who were not allotted MBBS/BDS seats in the routine counseling process of the exam. Students who do not get admission in any medical or dental college are eligible to apply for this round. The thing to note here is that the counseling round for special stray vacancies has been completed on 29th December itself.
