India And European Union (EU) has explored ways to promote the movement and migration of talented professionals, students and skilled workers to the benefit of both sides. The Ministry of External Affairs has given this information on Friday. The matter was discussed at the 6th High Level Dialogue on Migration and Movement between India and the European Union on 27 October in Brussels. The Ministry of External Affairs said that many issues related to promotion of orderly and regular migration including security, prevention of illegal migration were discussed in the meeting.

The Indian delegation in the talks was led by Ausaf Sayeed, Secretary (Consular, Passport and Visa and Overseas Affairs) in the Ministry of External Affairs. The last session of the dialogue was hosted by India in July 2019.

In a Facebook post, Saeed said they discussed facilitating travel to the European Union for Indian students, businessmen and tourists, finding new avenues for legal migration, cooperation on skill mapping and collaboration between prestigious institutions in India and the EU. .
