IIT Bombay: Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of the famous company Infosys, has donated Rs 315 crore to the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay. This is one of the biggest donations made by an alumnus of an educational institution. According to media reports, IIT Bombay He has taken this step to establish world class technology.

Did engineering from IIT Bombay
Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani has also been an alumnus of IIT Bombay. He has obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from this institute. In the year 1973, he completed his engineering. He has done this on completion of 50 years of his pass out.

Earlier, Nilekani had donated Rs 85 crore to IIT Bombay. If both their donations are added, then the total is 400 crores. He said that this donation is a tribute to me and a commitment to the students who have the future of the country in their hands.
Nandan Neelkani served on the Board of the IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation from 1999 to 2009 and was on the Board of Governors from 2005 to 2011. He was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1999. After this, in the year 2019, he was awarded an honorary doctorate at the IIT Bombay convocation.
