Success Story: To fulfill the dream of his father, who was martyred in the Kargil war, son Prajwal passed the Common Admission Test (CAT) but did not take admission in IIM. He did not study IIM to fulfill his father’s dream. After 9 SSB interviews, he was selected in the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA).
52-year-old Prajwal’s mother Savita said she felt very proud that she had fulfilled her father’s dream. He is working as a Data Entry Operator in the Army Hospital of Pulgaon. He was married to Krishnaji in 1991. The couple lived in Trivandrum, Belgaum and Kolkata before Krishnaji moved to Kargil. Due to the absence of Krishnaji’s parents, his wife started living near her parents’ house in Pulgaon.
Father was martyred in Kargil war
About 45 days after the birth of Prajwal, his father Lance Naik Krishnaji Samrit was martyred in the Kargil War in 1999. The Kargil martyr, a resident of Pulgaon, wanted his elder son, who was then 2.5 years old, to be commissioned as an officer in the Indian Army. After his elder brother Kunal went into engineering, 23-year-old Prajwal took it upon himself to fulfill his father’s dream and made it happen.
The path was not easy, got success in the 9th time
This path was not easy for Prajwal. He had to give SSB interview 9 times to achieve his goal and after that success came. He said this was my last attempt. I cracked the Common Admission Test (CAT) and got offers from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore and Khojicode this month.
Interview given for the first time in 2018
To prepare for NDA entrance in 2018, Prajwal took a drop after class 12th and passed the SSB interview for the first time but could not pass the medical examination, due to which the selection could not be done. In the same year he moved to Pune and took admission in Fergusson College for B.Sc. According to media reports, he said that I gave 8 SSB interviews but did not get success.
Accepted defeat after 8th unsuccessful attempt
Prajwal had accepted defeat after the 8th unsuccessful attempt. Then his neighbor Nitin Kothe, who is a teacher at the Indian Military School in Pulgaon. Till he asked to try for the last time, he said that he has topped all the exams. After that I passed all the exams for the 9th time with full hard work.
