In Uttar Pradesh, secondary school students will be run extra classes to improve their understanding in subjects including Hindi, English, Science and Maths. The officials gave this information. of UP Sarkari Schools The extra classes will start in October and will last for three and a half months. In this way, on January 15, the extra class running for students up to class 9th and 12th will end. The aim of the government is that every child studying in UP schools should become smart.
State Project Director of Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Shambhu Kumar has issued guidelines for extra classes for academically weak students from class 9th to 12th. The department claims that they are trying to understand the reasons behind the poor performance of UP government school students in the board examinations.
About 4.45 lakh students of secondary schools run by the government are going to benefit from this initiative. 98,057 students of classes 9th and 10th and 3,47,729 students of classes 11th and 12th have been identified, who have to participate in extra classes.
How weak students were identified?
- If a student is found absent several times.
- If a student has poor memory skills.
- If a student learns at a slow pace and lacks confidence.
- If a faculty member is absent for a long time, then extra classes will be taken for the children who teach him.
An official said, “The department wants to improve the results of the students studying in government schools. In such a situation, it has been decided to start extra classes.
Students will be assessed three times
- The first evaluation will be held on October 10 to check the foundation of each student.
- The second evaluation will be done from November 5 to 12.
- The third assessment will be done from December 27 to January 15.
Quiz will be organized by each school on the completion of each chapter to understand the learning potential of the students. The parents of the students will be contacted from time to time to know about the progress of their children.
