Jawaharlal Nehru University: In the sixth convocation of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), degrees were awarded to 948 researchers. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also participated in this program.

JNU News: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)JNU) participated in the 6th Convocation. During this, he addressed the students and other officials including professors of the university. In his address, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan described JNU as a multi-diversity institution, where students come from different corners of the country to study. He said that JNU is a research university and such a diverse institution is not there in the country.
The Education Minister said that the students passing out from this university have to play a big role in the society. In his address, he said that JNU is known for diversity, sensitivity, inclusiveness, equality, quality and affordability. JNU is not just an institution but a culture. He said that debate and discussion should always be welcomed.

130 crore people have faith in JNU students
The Union Minister requested the students of JNU to do research on the roots of India’s democracy. He said that India is not only the largest democracy in the world, but it is the mother of democracy. 130 crore people of India have full faith in the students of JNU. The students here will become global citizens.
He said JNU has set an example by ensuring that students from all backgrounds are given equal opportunities to excel. The Education Minister further said that JNU has developed a unique culture in which seniors, teachers and fellows all come together to ensure the development of the student.

948 researchers got degree
JNU Vice Chancellor Shantisree Dhulipudi Pandit told that 52 percent of the students studying in the university are those who come from SC, ST or OBC category. He said that this year is the sixth convocation. Altogether 948 researchers have been awarded degrees. This time the number of women researchers has been more than men.
