Nursery admission has started in Delhi Govt Schools. For this, parents can fill the application form and submit it to the school by March 15.

The registration process has started for admission in nursery, kindergarten and first class for the academic session 2023-24 in government schools of Delhi. Under Delhi Directorate of Education Delhi Govt Schools These admissions are being done in Admission and available seats in entry-level classes in all government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas will be made public on March 24. Admission will be given only on 40 seats in each section.
Parents will have to submit the application form by March 15 to get admission for their children in Preschool (Nursery), Pre-Primary (KG) and Class I. Parents have to keep in mind that the application form for admission should be filled offline and along with the necessary documents, it will have to be dropped in the box made in the nearby government schools. In such a situation, parents should try to get their children admission in the nearby school only.
Who will get preference in admission?
It is expected that this year there can be an increase in the registration process. Because of this, schools may have to increase the number of admissions. Admission in government schools for Nursery, Kindergarten and Class I is open only for residents of Delhi. Preference in admission will be given to those students who live within one kilometer of the school location
Which documents will be needed?
- Birth certificate issued by MCD or any local body
- anganwadi record
- Hospital, Nurse and Midwife Register Records
- Undertaking from parents regarding date of birth
- passport size photo
- Residence proof
The application form along with the required paperwork needs to be dropped in one of the drop boxes of the school. The list of candidates who have submitted application forms with defects will be displayed on the notice board of the schools on March 18. Student’s parents can come to the respective school during school hours on 20th and 21st March to correct any mistakes made in the application form.
