Jamia Millia Islamia, one of the most prestigious universities in the country, has released the academic calendar. according to the schedule, Jamia Millia Islamia The admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs started on April 12. The admission process will end on July 31. Academic session will start from 1st August. The semester exam will start from December 1, which will continue till December 15.
The winter vacations in Jamia University will begin in December. The winter vacations are going to start from December 15 till January 12, 2024. The second semester is going to start from January 15. On the other hand, if we talk about the beginning of the second semester exam, then it will be organized from May 1. The second semester exam will end on May 15, 2024. The summer vacations in Jamia University will start from May 16 and will continue till July 15.

FYUP may apply in JMI
At the same time, under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the new proposals proposed by Jamia Millia Islamia for the next academic session include provisions for dual degree, online learning and pursuing four-year undergraduate courses. Four Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) is likely to be offered with multiple entry and exit options from the upcoming academic session.
JMI will not implement CUET
It is expected that the admissions to be held in Jamia University this year will be done through the entrance exam of the institute itself. Jamia University has no intention of implementing the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the university will be done through Jamia’s own entrance exam.

CUET was implemented last year by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Through this, provision was made to give admission through CUET in UG and PG courses in many universities including Central Universities.
