It has not yet taken any decision regarding when the budget airlines GoFirst will start its flights again. Go First, which is trying to save itself from bankruptcy, has given detailed information about this to the regulator of the aviation sector, DGCA.

In the information given to DGCA, the company said that at present, the company has not set any deadline for restarting the flights. Last week there was news that the company can resume its flights only in the month of May, at the moment such possibilities seem to be running out of water.

    Relief from NCLAT as well

Earlier this week, GoFirst got relief from the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). In fact, the companies that hired the aircrafts to the company had approached the NCLAT. He had appealed against the company to initiate insolvency process, but the NCLAT gave relief to GoFirst as per the NCLT decision and asked the lease companies to appeal to the NCLT itself.

Flights closed from the beginning of May

GoFirst had moved the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on 2 May. At the same time, its flights are closed from 3 May. The company told NCLT that it is trying to revive itself. He needs some time for this. Therefore, the company had sought the relief of ‘stay’ on starting the insolvency process against him till then. NCLT has accepted this point of Go First.

GoFirst’s problem is the faulty engines on its Pratt & Whitney planes. Because of this, more than half of its aircraft are not in a condition to fly. The company has taken legal action against Pratt & Whitney in many countries, which can be decided soon.
