In fact, the National Payments Corporation (NPCI), the government company that operates it, is working on a plan to strengthen it further. For this, she is planning to do tie-ups in many countries.
It is easy to pay with Rupay in these countries
At present, it is easy to make RuPay card payments at Point of Sale (POS) machines in some countries. Like America’s Discover, Japan’s Diners Club and JCB and China’s Pulse and Union Pay, POS machines of companies support Rupay. That’s why it is easy to make payment through these machines.
Visa will compete with Mastercard
Quoting sources, ET has reported that NPCI has been trying to break the reign of Visa and Mastercard for a long time. In such a situation, to make Rupay card a competitor of Visa and Mastercard at the global level, NPCI is engaged in making it stronger. So that the card users of Master and Visa company can move to Rupay card.
This is how international service started
NPCI first tied-up with Discover Financial Services in March 2012. Due to this, Indian people got the facility to pay through Rupay card at the international level. After this, Rupee has continuously worked to increase its network. In the year 2019, it expanded its network in association with JCB Global India and JCB Card.
