If we look at the figures, in the month of May till 18th, foreign investors have invested about Rs 31 thousand crores in the stock market. Which is the highest in any month this year. By the way, this is the third consecutive month when foreign investors are continuously investing in India’s stock market. More than 16 thousand crores put in equity this year
In the year 2022, foreign investors had withdrawn Rs 1.21 crore from the stock market, which was a record. After that it was expected that the year 2023 would be a little better, that happened. In less than five months, foreign investors have invested Rs 16,367 crore. The surprising thing is that in the months of January and February, foreign investors had withdrawn their money from the stock market. Rs 28,852 crore was withdrawn in the month of January and Rs 5,294 crore was withdrawn in February.
Investment of more than 50 thousand crore rupees in three months
From the month of March, the picture appeared to be completely changing. According to NSDL data, foreign investors invested Rs 7936 crore in the market in the month of March. After that, in the month of April, it increased its investment to Rs 11,631 crore. The month of May has not been completed and foreign investors have invested Rs 30,946 crore. By the end of the month, the figure can reach up to Rs 45 thousand crore. After about 6 months, foreign investors have invested more than 30 thousand crore rupees in a month. In the month of May last year, investors had withdrawn Rs 39,993 crore.
