While talking about other companies, Bharti Airtel, the second largest telecom company, has added only about 5 lakh wireless customers. This took its user base to 36.34 crores, while Vodafone Idea’s customer loss continued. The cash-strapped telecom company lost 15.4 lakh mobile customers in July, after which the company’s user base increased to 25.51 crore. BSNL and MTNL lost 1,327,999 and 3,038 wireless subscribers respectively.
How much market share of which company
Now talking about the market share, Jio has 36.23 percent and Airtel has 31.66 percent. At the same time, Vodafone-Idea has captured 22.22 percent of the market. Apart from this, information related to mobile number portability has been received from the report. According to the report, in July, more than 1 crore customers requested for mobile number portability ie MNP, which has now increased to 72.47 crores. At the same time, talking about wireline users, their number increased from 2.55 million at the end of June to 2.56 million at the end of July.
Airtel ahead of Jio in this matter
According to the visitor location register, Airtel is ahead of Jio and Vi in terms of active mobile users. The company has 97.99 percent active users, while only 91.88 percent and Vi’s 85.03 percent users are active on Jio’s network. The data also shows that India’s mobile user base grew by 0.06% to 1.148 billion at the end of July, from 1.147 billion a month ago. In urban areas, the number of customers increased to more than 650 million at the end of July, from about 640 million at the end of June. Rural areas saw a decline in subscriptions. The number of customers there decreased to 52.32 crores, which was 52.38 crores during the same period. There was a loss of about 6 lakh customers.
