Tata owned Air India on Tuesday ordered the purchase of 250 Airbus aircraft and 220 new Boeing jets worth $ 70 billion. Air India has tweeted this information. The airline says that it has signed an agreement to buy 470 new aircraft to increase the strength of its fleet. He made this deal at the Paris Air Show. On the previous day, Indigo placed an order to buy 500 Airbus A320 aircraft. Just a day after this, Air India has signed this deal. Tata Sons and Air India Chairman N. Air India Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Campbell Wilson says that in his ambitious fleet renewal and expansion program, Air India will operate the most advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft in its route network within five years. Delivery of aircraft will start from the end of this year
According to the statement, Airbus Company Satire and Boeing Global Services will support Air India with solutions including parts and maintenance, digital applications and modification services. Airbus A350 will start delivering the new aircraft later this year. However, most of the deliveries will be received by mid-2025. Air India says it has started taking delivery of 11 leased B777 and 25 A320 aircraft to accelerate its fleet and network expansion.
