MG Motors Price Hike: Hector has become even more expensive, the company has increased the price so much
MG Motor launched the updated Hector facelift in the Indian market earlier this year and the price of the SUV has been increased for the first time. In this, the price has been increased from Rs 27,000 to Rs 61,000. MG has reintroduced the ‘Shine’ trim level for the car which was earlier introduced with the pre-facelift version of the Hector. Now MG Motor has increased the price of ZS EV, Astor, Hector, Hector Plus and Gloster.
The new Shine variant is available with three drivetrain options, with Petrol-MT priced at Rs 16.34 lakh, Petrol-CVT priced at Rs 17.54 lakh and Diesel-MT priced at Rs 18.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Here we will tell you the complete details of how much the price of MG Hector has increased.

MG Motors Price Hike
After the price hike, the Hector’s price now starts at Rs. 15 lakh and goes up to Rs. 22.12 lakh, ex-showroom. Apart from the increase in its price, no changes have been made to the SUV. MG Motor offers the FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine in India with 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque as well as the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that belts out 143 PS and 250 Nm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard with both the engines while the petrol mill is available with a CVT auto option.
MG Motors: Which variant’s price has increased by how much?
MG Motor has discontinued the base variant of the Gloster. The prices of the 2WD variants have been increased by Rs. 60,000 but the prices of the 4WD variants remain the same. The Gloster range now starts from the Sharp 7 STR 2.0 Turbo 2WD, which is available at Rs.38.08 lakhs. The price of Savvy 7 STR 2.0 Turbo 2WD and Savvy 6 STR 2.0 Turbo 2WD is Rs 39.60 Lakh. The price of Gloster Savvy 6 STR 2.0 Twin Turbo 4WD variant is Rs 42.38 Lakh.
