Mahindra Scorpio N: Know this new thing about the new Scorpio even before its launch, know


Auto Desk, New Delhi: Mahindra Scorpio N (Mahindra Scorpio N) has started hitting the market even before its scheduled launch in India on 27th June 2022. We have already got a lot of information about the upcoming SUV’s exterior design, interior, dashboard, seats ahead of its launch.

However, all these details are about the top variant. Hence, we are yet to get any information about the base variant of Mahindra Scorpio-N.

Along with the latest spy shots, there have been some interesting new details about the new Scorpio. The new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will be offered in both 6 and 7 seater configurations. Although the prices of the variants have not been informed yet, but it is expected that its price will start from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).

As per the latest spy shots from Autodrive, the base variant of the new Scorpio could get side-facing jump seats. Unlike the previous Scorpio images, the testing vehicle here gets fabric seats and side facing seats in the third row. While the middle row has a bench seat setting. It is not yet clear whether this version will be launched or just for testing.

If experts are to be believed, Mahindra may not launch this variant with this seat arrangement as the side facing seats are highly unsafe and the company is focusing more on the safety of the Scorpio N. Earlier, Mahindra Thar was launched with side facing seats. But, this variant was later discontinued as it affected the safety rating of the new Thar.

Mahindra’s latest Scorpio-N has been completely revamped in terms of design language and gets an LED head light unit, LED DRLs, a new front grille, more pronounced bumpers and redesigned alloy wheels.

Mahindra has confirmed that the Scorpio-N will also be offered with a 4×4 option.

Mahindra Scorpio N Dimensions and Specifications

The Scorpio-N measures 4,662 mm in length, 1,917 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,750mm. This means that the Scorpio-N is about 206 mm longer and 100 mm wider than the current Scorpio, but will be around 125 mm shorter in height than the current Scorpio model. The wheelbase of this car is also long.

The Scorpio-N is built on a body-on-frame platform and has been upgraded in terms of design updates to a bigger, more rough and premium stance. It will come with 6 and 7 seater options. The Scorpio-N will come with a three-row cabin, with the third row facing forward.

As per the leaked report, SAUV There will also be dual-zone climate control, two different instrument cluster set-ups (depending on the variant), front and rear cameras, auto start-stop, cruise control, Type-C USB ports. There will be traction control in the first and second row, push-button start-stop on the higher variant, and, most importantly, Mahindra’s new 4 XPLOR 4WD system with Terrain Mode and Low-Range Mode.

In terms of engines, the Mahindra Scorpio N will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. 2.0-litre turbo-petrol variant mStallion The engine will deliver a maximum power of 170 PS. On the other hand, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will churn out 130PS or 160PS of power, depending on the variant. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
