Kia’s Electric SUV EV9 can knock soon (March 15). It will be initially launched in the global market. The company introduced this electric car at the Delhi Auto Expo 2023. The EV9 will be positioned above the EV6 compact crossover in Kia’s global product lineup. However, no official information has been revealed regarding its launch in the Indian market.
Official details of the upcoming Kia Electric SUV are yet to be revealed. Although its pictures have been leaked. Accordingly, the production version of the EV9 will be similar to the concept model. Let’s know about it…

The overall length, width and height of the new Kia EV9 will be 4929mm, 2055mm and 1790mm respectively. Whereas its wheelbase will be 3100mm.
Platform of Kia EV9 SUV
The new Kia EV9 electric SUV will be built on the e-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) architecture. Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 are also built on this platform. This platform supports fast-charging capacity of up to 350kW. Apart from this, vehicles built on e-GMP architecture support advanced driving dynamics and high speed.
Design of the Kia EV9 SUV
Talking about the concept, the Kia EV9 gets the brand signature ‘tiger nose’ grille, Z-shaped headlamp cluster and a blank panel with LED light modules at the front. It can get clear wheel arches, sharp kink behind the C-pillar, alloy wheels, roof rails and black ORVMs. At the rear, the electric SUV gets LED taillamps, rear spoiler, glasshouse.
Battery pack for the Kia EV9 SUV
A 64kWh battery pack can be found in it, which can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in just 7 minutes. The electric SUV is expected to be offered with a dual motor setup and 4WD (four-wheel drive) drivetrain system. Its lower variants can come with single motor transferring power.
