Keep this in mind while selling a car
Whether the vehicle is old or new, now FASTag is installed in all vehicles. It is affixed like a sticker on the windshield of the vehicle. Fastag sticker is now already installed in the new car, you do not have to get it installed. For this you have to connect with your bank account and e-wallet. This leads to loss if you sell your vehicle and forget to deactivate it from the app. Because even after the vehicle is sold, the payment for FASTag continues to be deducted from your account wallet.

Deactivate Fastag like this
If you use Fastag through e-wallet like Paytm or Phonepe, then you will get a Manage Fastag option in it, after going to this option, click on the option of Deactivate Fastag here. Here you will be asked some easy questions, answer them. And select the right reason behind deactivating, after that your fastag will be deactivated. The same process has to be followed to deactivate FASTag from your bank account.
Account is not deactivated by removing the sticker
If you are thinking that if you remove the sticker from your car, then your Fastag account will be deactivated, then you are thinking wrong. If you remove the sticker, you will not be able to get back the security amount deposited in it. To get back the security amount, you have to deactivate your account. After this this amount is returned to your e-wallet.
