Honda Shine has been introduced with the power of new 99.7cc air cooled single cylinder OBD2 compliant PGM-Fi engine. The company has claimed very good mileage, but has not yet disclosed the figures related to it.
Bajaj Platina 100, on the other hand, gets a 102cc 4 stroke DTS-i single cylinder engine, which generates maximum power of 7.9PS and peak torque of 8.3Nm. In this you get 4 speed gearbox.

Honda Shine 100 is one of the smallest bike in the country. It looks like it ranks second among the bikes with the lowest seat height. It will get the second lowest ground clearance. The ground clearance of Shine 100 is 168mm, while that of Platina 100 is 200mm. Apart from this, the fuel capacity of Shine 100 is also very less. 11 liters of fuel tank will be available in Platina and only 9 liters of fuel tank will be available in Shine.

In terms of features, both the bikes come with features like halogen headlight, side-stand engine cutoff, combined braking system, self-starter and alloy wheels. The Bajaj Platina gets LED DRLs while the Shine 100 is the cheapest bike to come with a self starter.

The ex-showroom price of Honda Shine 100 starts from Rs.64,900. In comparison, the ex-showroom price of Bajaj Platina 100 is Rs 67,475. As you can see, Honda has launched Shine 100 in the market at a very low price.
