BYD Atto Company was working in the field of manufacturing of batteries, electric parts and mobile phones. From 2016, BYD started supplying batteries and bus chassis to electric bus maker Olectra. Whereas in the year 2021, BYD launched its electric MPV car e6. The price of this car was fixed at Rs 29.6 lakh. The company claimed that this MPV electric car will set a range of 520 km.
What are BYD’s plans in India
BYD Atto 3 will initially assemble its cars in Chennai. After the next two years, the company plans to sell 10,000 vehicles assembled in India. The company says that based on the response coming from the market, it will be decided whether its local manufacturer unit will be opened in India or not?
What features will the Atto 3 be equipped with?
According to the report of auto website Rush lane, the company will present this car with a sporty look. It will be launched with sleek headlamps. Close off grille will be installed in this car. Along with this, there will be funky looking alloy wheels. The company can also make good use of chrome in this car.
The windows of the Atto 3 can be offered with chrome lined. Other features include panoramic sunroof, electric unlocked tailgate, roof rails and adjustable ORVMs in the company Atto 3.
Competing with Hyundai Kona
Talking about the design and price range, this car will directly compete with Hyundai’s electric car Kona. If the Chinese company launches this car soon, then challenges will arise for Hyundai’s Kona.
