The company confirmed that now jeep compass Only the diesel engine variants will be sold. However, this step seems quite awkward as most of the auto companies are discontinuing the sale of diesel engine cars. But Jeep has decided to discontinue the petrol variant of the Compass. Jeep Compass is one of the best selling cars of the company.
It is believed that the petrol engine of the Jeep Compass has not been upgraded as per the current emission norms in India. Hence the model of this engine has been discontinued. However, the company has issued an official statement putting an end to all the speculations.

Jeep Compass: Bet on diesel engine
The auto company said that there is a strong demand for diesel engines in the premium SUV segment. GP India will continue to invest in and develop the 2.0L Multijet turbo diesel engine. This will give the SUV more torque power, reduce carbon emissions and also help in improving the mileage. Apart from the petrol engine, the sale of the top diesel model Trailhawk has also stopped.

The company further said that Jeep India is committed to bring new cars to the market for the future. The car company will continue to explore all possible engine and fuel options. The company will do this according to the trends of the market and the choice of the customers. Efforts will be made to prepare similar products for the thing which the customers want more.
Jeep Compass: Price
Jeep has discontinued the sale of the 1.4 liter four cylinder turbo charged petrol engine of the Compass. Currently, three variants of this SUV – Sport, Limited and Model S are available for sale. All these options will be available in the 2.0 liter Multijet turbo diesel engine. The ex-showroom price of Diesel Compass ranges from Rs. 21.44 Lakh to Rs. 31.64 Lakh.
